I am Ivan and I am a wood carver. Here I want to share with you my hobby. I have been doing wood carving for 7 years. At first it was just a hobby for me, but soon I realized that I want to connect my life with this art. During this time I have completed two courses of Bogorod carving, which is one of the most famous and unique types of folk art in Russia.
For me wood carving is not just a job, it is a way of self-development, creativity and communication. I love to feel how a tree lives under my hands, how it takes the right shape and acquires new meaning. I love to see how an ordinary piece of wood becomes a unique sculpture that can decorate an interior, become a gift or a symbol. I love to see how people react to my work, how they are surprised, delighted or laugh. I love to share my experience and knowledge with others, to teach and learn.
